Nitrous Injection Kits On Street Cars
Nitrous injectors are incredibly popular in racing cars to improve engine performance. Nitrous oxide cools air, which reduces the intake air’s pressure and allows for greater density of air in the air intake system. When the condensed air reaches the combustion chamber, it provides a more powerful punch to the cylinders. While this is great for racing, it’s unsafe on the road. Streetcars do not need this extra power boost, and if you’re in a wreck, the injection kit poses a risk to the unknowing first responders. The high-pressure nitrous bottle could explode and cause a fire or injury from flying metal. If the firemen or EMTs trying to get you out of your car are unaware of this danger they could put their lives at risk. So, if you’re thinking of taking your car off the track, think again.
