1910s European Grand Prix From “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is another classic movie where the car itself has the lead. The 1968 film tells the tale of a magical car discovered by the Potts children. The vintage Grand Prix was a racing car in its prime but served as the perfect model to showcase the children’s wonder. In the movie, it actually used a zeppelin motor, which is where it got its name. The engine supposedly made a rough banging and clattering when it would drive. Nowadays, you’d take it into the shop to find out why your car is pinging. However, in the movie the rattling of Chitty Bang Bang made it all the more special.
