Cadillac Mirage Golf Bag Door
Ah, the Cadillac Mirage… While most have never heard of it, let alone seen one in person, Cadillac’s variant of General Motor’s El Camino and Caballero put the urban in urban cowboy. Primarily targeting millionaire ranchers and rural executives, the limited run of 204 Mirages designed by Traditional Coach Works made this vehicle a rarity as well as a status symbol. Since these “trucks” were intended to be used by the wealthy, some of them came optioned with a secret, lockable golf bag door located on the passenger side behind the door. It enabled the driver to open up the passageway and insert their golf clubs safely and neatly behind the seats, so as to maintain the neat and cleanly appearance of the truck costing nearly double what a typical Cadillac Deville, sans truck bed, would set you back at the dealership.
