We previously talked about the spy shots of the updated version of Lamborghini’s Huracan for next year.
Now, Lamborghini has released official photos of the 2020 Huracan—which will be called the Huracan Evo—through their exclusive app.
Not only does its styling borrow heavily from the Performante as the spy shots suggested, but it features a bit of a performance upgrade that we didn’t anticipate beneath the hood.
Powertrain Changes
As with the previous Huracan model, the V10 engine is going to stay the same for the Huracan Evo; however, an upgraded titanium intake and exhaust system gives the Evo an additional 28 brake horsepower and 40 lbs/ft of torque.

The Evo will also have all-wheel drive and a gearbox that features seven speeds. Buyers can expect the car to go from 0 to 62 in just under three seconds (2.9).
Top speed? 201 miles-per-hour, officially making the Huracan’s performance comparable to the Performante.
New Tech for the Evo
Rear-wheel steering and four-wheel torque combined with Lamborghini’s central processing unit titled Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) make the chassis customizable.
An updated version of Lamborghini’s Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI)—which houses a set of accelerators and sensors—allows the driver to keep a close eye on road conditions and automatically adjust the torque as necessary.
Drivers will be able to tweak the features of the Huracan with three different driving modes (STRADA, SPORT, AND CORSA) from everyday use to track use, respectively.
Inside, an 8.4-inch entertainment system with satellite navigation and internet radio give drivers everything they need while on the road. Buyers will have the option to customize the Huracan’s exterior and interior features.
Saucy Exterior Updates Mimic the Performante
20-inch wheels and new front and rear fascia update the look of the Huracan.
Doing away with the dual exhaust tips and doing a single exhaust on either side of the rear, the Huracan Evo contains an exhaust system that’s mounted higher than the original, taking a hint from the Performante’s aggressive rear.
With the Huracan’s exterior updates, non-Lambo fans may just have trouble distinguishing the Evo from the Performante!
When to Expect and Pricing
Auto enthusiasts speculate that Lamborghini will deliver the updated version of the Huracan in Spring 2020 with prices expected to hover around a start price of just over $200k.
But for some increased horsepower, torque, and a body that makes it comparable to the Performante, hey, why not?
Lamborghini has certainly done the unexpected and stepped up their game with these changes. We look forward to seeing what they have in store for an even better version of the Huracan in the future.
