If you were waiting for the Detroit Auto Show to see the long-awaited Toyota Supra, wait no more. Toyota Mexico posted a video on Twitter of the Supra—no camo, no spy shots, just a red Supra showing off its stuff.
Of course, the video has been removed from Twitter, but the footage was nabbed and uploaded to YouTube. Some people suspect the video leak could have been a deliberate move to keep people excited about the car.
Here’s the video, for as long as it’s available:
The truth is that since the Supra has been in the making for so long, people have begun to lose interest in the car. However, Toyota has confirmed that the car will debut at the Detroit Auto Show, and apparently, in a video on Twitter.
Here’s What We Know About the 2020 Supra
The 2020 Supra has a long history of leaks and spy shots that alluded to what this car would look like. Although spy shots revealed a pretty accurate look at the Supra, we weren’t prepared for the muscular body this car has on what’s essentially a Z4 chassis.
With an impossibly long hood and a smidge of a rear with a ducktail spoiler, the Supra does indeed mimic the updated BMW Z4. Testers have even shared that the engine sounds like a BMW, which, of course, is certainly not a bad thing.
The A90 will be a coupe and has Toyota styling. This sports car has all the curves that were difficult to spot in the prototypes we’ve previously seen in the camouflaged version of the Supra.
With so many previous leaks, many Toyota fans have already made up their minds about the Supra’s looks; however, these new shots reveal a muscular sports car that aims to impress.

Elements Yet to Be Revealed
So far we have no information on what the interior of the Supra will look like or what tech it will contain, but Toyota fans won’t have to wait long for the reveal. The Supra is expected to make its grand entrance at the Detroit Auto Show in a matter of days.
We also have no technical specifications on the Supra as of yet. Surprisingly, past documents leave little chance that a manual option of the vehicle will be available. It’s likely that Toyota will only feature an automatic transmission.
Could It Be a Beemer for a Toyota Price?
Buyers can expect the Supra to cost a bit more than a traditional Toyota sedan, but we don’t have numbers on the exact cost. Based on what we know about the 2020 Supra, this could be a fun sports car option for people who don’t want to drop twice the amount of money on a BMW Z4.
The Detroit Auto Show will reveal all when it comes to the Supra—until then, let’s enjoy these sneak peeks!
