First Look at the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe

2020 Cayenne Coupe

Porsche’s new Cayenne Coupe for 2020 will hit showrooms this fall. Although some auto enthusiasts will say this isn’t an actual coupe because it has four doors, Porsche is considering it a coupe thanks to its sleek design.

Only two models have been announced so far. The base model is a 3.0L turbocharged V6 putting out 335 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. Going from 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, it tops out at 151 miles per hour. Price? A mere $76,550 before options.

For those who want a bit more for their money, the Cayenne Turbo Coupe features a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8, putting out 541 horsepower with 567 lb.-ft. of torque. This coupe takes just 3.7 seconds to get to 60 and bumps its max speed up to 178 miles per hour. You’ll pay more for this powerful version: $131,350 before add-ons.

Porsche is toting this as one of the fastest SUVs in the world and wanted to give this coupe the looks to go with its power. While the 2020 Cayenne cuts out a bit of space to flesh out its vibrant design, the body on this Porsche seems worth the extra space sacrifice. Plus, Porsche has made some accommodations to ensure passenger comfort.

Although the roof is slightly lower (only .78 inches to be exact), Porsche has also lowered the seats so headroom isn’t compromised. Buyers can choose from two seats in the back or swap these out for a rear bench for no additional cost.

Cargo volume is 22 cubic feet but with the rear seats folded, drivers get 54 cubic feet. Not bad for a coupe!

The 2020 Cayenne comes with an adaptive rear spoiler in addition to a roof-mounted spoiler with a new tailgate and new rear doors and fenders. All of these style changes give this SUV a more aggressive stance.

While a panoramic glass roof comes standard, buyers will have the option to swap this out for a lighter carbon fiber version, one of which comes as part of a sport package with 22-inch wheels and Alcantara interior trim.

Porsche fans are looking forward to getting all the details when this powerful SUV arrives a bit later this year.
