Being that it was one of the first production cars ever made, the Velo easily cruises across the line into 1st place, with help from its 1L engine – producing a bowler-bracing 1.5 hp. This could take the Velo from 0-60 in…. well, never, but 0-12 mph in approximately some amount of time which would have certainly been impressive to the folks living in turn of the century Europe. Karl Benz’ engines were on show as well in not only the Velo but several horseless carriages in 1894 during the first ever motorsport event – a race from Paris to Rouen.
