The all-electric MINI Cooper SE is set to go into series production in November of 2019. In the meantime, BMW Group has released a teaser video which shows this EV MINI Cooper towing a massive Boeing 777F cargo plane.
Owned by Lufthansa Cargo, this 777F is a certified heavyweight, weighing in at over 300,000 pounds. To complete the hauling test, BMW Group set up shop at the International Airport in Frankfurt, Germany.
While the MINI Cooper SE is a bit slow to start, it successfully manages to haul the 300,000 pound plane. Not bad for a small passenger vehicle more likely to be associated with short distance drives around urban landscapes than with this kind of tough and rugged hauling.

The All-Electric MINI Cooper SE is Really Powerful
The BMW Group released the teaser video with the Boeing 777F to help demonstrate how powerful electric vehicles can be. Considering all of the recent news related to the modern renaissance of EVs, it seems like it will be hard to thinking of these vehicles as being anything short of stunning.
The forthcoming MINI Cooper SE is based on the brand’s 3 door coupe. It will be among the first of a new wave of electric vehicles released by the BMW Group in the coming years.
Industry analysts have predicted that it is likely the forthcoming MINI Cooper SE will feature the same electric powertrain as the BMW i3 S. The Cooper SE is said to receive its power from front wheel drive, whereas the i3 S is rear wheel drive.
MINI Cooper enthusiasts can look forward to the worldwide reveal of the forthcoming EV Cooper SE at the Frankfurt Auto Show which will be held in September of this year. Until then, enjoy checking out just how strong the nimble and agile MINI Cooper can be.
