Make Way for the Hyundai Elantra
Teenage drivers are far more likely to be involved in an accident. According to the CDC, motor vehicle crashes kill six teenagers every day.
The 2017 Hyundai Elantra was named the safest new car for teens to drive, in the $25-35K price range (older models can run $8-$10,000). The newer models feature accident prevention technology including adaptive cruise control, rearview camera, forward automatic braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, and blind spot detection. Parents can also utilize Hyndai’s Blue Link system to get texts informing them if the teenager keeps the car out past a certain time.
The Hyundai Elantra also features excellent fuel economy (22-32 city, 29-40 highway), roomy interior, and reliability.
