Brace yourselves for the M2 CS, which was spied in Nurburgring when the driver stopped for fuel in this video, giving the YouTube Channel Carspotter Jeroen a chance to grab this footage:

Auto enthusiasts say this is the car BMW should have built from the beginning, as it will be lighter and put out more power. Where the original Competition with its twin-turbo straight-six engine weighed in at over 3,582 pounds, the M2 CS will lose some weight and gain some muscle.

In the video, the exhaust purrs to life and we can hear that this car is a bit throatier than its predecessor. We’re also thinking the M2 CS is going to have some better track skills than its older sibling, giving its better power and more sculpted look.

To lighten up the load, BMW may have given this car a carbon fiber roof. While the original M2 puts out 410 horsepower, the M2 CS with its twin-turbo inline-six engine is expected to put out 445 horsepower. Buyers will have the option of a dual-clutch or manual transmission for this BMW.

We’re thinking the interior won’t have too many updates, but would have an optional Alcantara package, giving the inside a more sophisticated look with a variety of interior trim options.

We’ve no word yet on when this car will officially reveal, but auto enthusiasts are speculating a late-2019 unveiling, potentially at the Frankfurt Motor Show with the vehicle being available in 2020.
