Ferrari representatives have confirmed that their second ever hybrid model is set to be revealed in the next few months.
Ferrari’s made a commitment to delivering hybrid and electric powertrains to its fans. In fact, Ferrari claims that more than half of their models will have a hybrid option in the next few years. After 2022, Ferrari plans on releasing its first all-electric model.
For this hybrid supercar, Ferrari supposedly has taken a V8 engine and paired it with an electric motor to boost performance. Ferrari wants to continue to deliver performance and power to its buyers and mimic the characteristics of a naturally-aspirated engine.
While this will undoubtedly be difficult to do with an all-electric powertrain, Ferrari’s working on it. The company has said it wants to maximize the benefits of electric drivetrains, but in the meantime, they’ll be focusing on hybrid models.
Ferrari is planning to introduce fifteen new models in the next five years before it releases its first-ever SUV sometime in 2022.
We’ve already seen the F8 Tributo at the Geneva Auto Show, which has already won three International Engine of the Year awards.
Ferrari seems to have an unwavering eye on delivering electric engines from here on out, so enjoy the F8 Tributo with its naturally-aspirated power while you can.
The new hybrid supercar that will be revealed in the next few months won’t be a limited edition, according to sources. We’re expecting Ferrari to begin delivering the car early next year.
What does this Ferrari hybrid have in store for auto enthusiasts? Its second hybrid vehicle is bound to pave the way for future generations of both hybrid and electric Ferraris.
