Dubai was made for Automobile Fanatics
Fast becoming ubiquitously connected with all things luxurious, extravagant, and high end, Dubai is a true gearhead paradise. It’s the kind of city where Rolls Royces and Bentleys are normal everyday sights.
Dubai is the kind of town where the roar of Italian luxury automobiles like Lamborghinis, Paganis, and Pininfarinas on Sheikh Zayed Road are a typical sound and something to be expected.
Today, also known as the home of the world’s tallest building, indoor ski slopes, and gigantic aquariums, this is a place with plenty to see and do. For many of the United Arab Emirates most wealthy citizens and visitors alike, it is a place to show one’s wealth.

If you are curious why exactly Dubai is becoming known as the Middle East Supercar Mecca, the answer is simple: the United Arab Emirates is a very supportive and welcoming host.
Locals enjoy extremely high salaries and do not need to pay income taxes. The roads are extremely well-lit, maintained at optimal conditions, and you will not find a single pothole in all of Dubai.
Luxury cars are seen as a status symbol and are the perfect way for an upwardly mobile culture to show off the high-horsepower toys that have become so beloved in the UAE.

Dubai’s Police Supercars are Outrageous
If you visit, just be sure to follow all the local laws, and whatever you do, don’t even think about trying to outrun the Dubai Police. To date, the Dubai Police are confirmed to own the following vehicles:

-

-
Hummer H3
-

That’s quite the collection, and the coolest part is nearly all of these vehicles are tricked out in white and green paint jobs, complete with the normal markings you would see on a patrol car anywhere else in the world. In Dubai, the police have the need for speed and if you even think about out running them, you better be prepared to have a bad time.

Dubai: Supercar Paradise in the Middle East
Apparently, even if you search for an Uber in Dubai, you are as likely to find Mercedes-Benz’, Lexus’, and BMWs as you are to see Mclarens, Nobles, or Gumperts. You see, in Dubai, even ride-sharing service drivers like to rock the 2019’s craziest and most over the top supercars.
If you visit, you really have to check out the Dubai International Airport. Known as the world’s busiest airport in regards to international travelers, it sees quite a bit of action. So much in fact, that it really is turning into a kind of graveyard for ultra luxury supercars.
Every year, between 2,000 and 3,000 cars are abandoned each year at the Dubai International Airport. According to the Gulf News, under Sharia Law, failure to pay debt is an extremely serious criminal offense. The UAE is known for being so tough on crime – anyone living there found to have excessive unpaid debts, such as car loans or credit cards – runs the risk of going to jail.

To avoid this fate, many simply leave their ultra high end cars at Dubai International Airport to collect dust. It might be hard to believe but, multiple ultra-rare Ferrari Enzos and Pagani Zondas have just been left at the Dubai airport.
Dubai is definitely one of the world’s most over the top supercar paradises. If you visit make sure you enjoy the sights and the sounds of the world’s craziest, ultra-exotic supercars.
Whatever you do though, make sure you don’t become one of those people who abandons your high end ride at the Dubai Airport.
