Gordon Murray is Building the Last and Greatest Analog Supercar

T.50 is powered by the highest-revving V12 engine in any road car ever produced

The 3.9-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine will spin up to 12,100 RPM. It’s co-developed with Cosworth, who also developed the Valkyrie engine, but it only goes up to 11,100 RPM.

The T.50 engine produces 650 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a ram-air induction scoop on top of the car, at high speeds it can develop an additional 50 hp.

There is no flywheel – the engine is connected directly to the Xtrac, 6-speed manual transmission for immediate throttle response.

Both the engine and transmission are specifically designed and developed for this car.

“By working with the team at Cosworth Powertrain we have created the greatest naturally-aspirated engine ever designed for the road. It is the highest revving, highest power density, lightest and fastest-responding naturally-aspirated V12 ever made for a road car.”
