T.50 is going to be the lightest ever supercar on the road
Current hypercar manufacturers are locked in a battle to produce the fastest, quickest or most powerful vehicle. But in the quest for powertrain dominance, modern vehicles gain an awful lot of weight.
T.50 aims to provide the most refined driving experience on the road. And for Gordon Murray, weight is the enemy:
“This is the key to achieving enhanced performance and dynamics, and refocusing the supercar on the driver and the thrill of driving. We’re not interested in simply chasing numbers, and never will be.”
Thus, he has pursued weight saving in every component with zealous devotion.
As a result, the T.50 weights only 2,160 lb – hundreds of pounds lighter than any other supercar on the road or in production, including the Aston Martin Valkyrie and Mercedes-AMG One.
