In bringing the Ranger back, Ford also resurrected off-roaders with an appetite for better capability and enhanced horsepower. In other words, these Ranger fans wanted a Raptor.
Ford’s not yet made a Raptor version of its 2019 Ranger for the American marketplace although such variations exist in Europe and even Australia. Enthusiasts expect that Ford will build a Ranger Raptor in time (perhaps not until the 2021 generation of Rangers), but until then, Hennessey Performance has revealed their VelociRaptor Ranger.

The stock Ranger comes with a 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine, which Hennessy boosts to 350 horsepower and 385 lb.-ft. of torque. To give the engine this upgrade, Hennessy introduced a high-flow air intake and a catback exhaust, which not only boosts horsepower and torque, but gives the engine a more assertive growl.
In addition to upgrading the engine, Hennessey boosted the Ranger’s suspension by one inch, giving the entire truck a four-inch lift. BF Goodrich off-road tires adorn 17-inch wheels in this VelociRaptor package.

With the flared wheel beds and an LED lightbar along with LED fog lights, it’s hard to argue with the aggressive stance that comes with this package. When you throw in the fact that the VelociRaptor Ranger gets from 0-60 is 6.1 seconds, you might just feel like dropping an extra $20,000 on your truck.
“We are so excited to introduce our 2019 Hennessey VelociRaptor upgrades for the 2019 Ford Ranger truck. The demand for our VelociRaptor upgrades for the Ford Raptor truck has been incredible over the last 10 years. We are thrilled to be able to offer increased power, performance—on- and off-road all packed in our exclusively branded VelociRaptor package,” John Hennessey, founder and CEO of Hennessey Performance says.

Since the next-generation Ranger isn’t due to come out until 2021, it’s unlikely Ford will feature an off-roading package for their Ranger until then. But in the meantime, you can snag one of these Hennessy-upgraded Rangers for just $64,950. Only 500 of these trucks were made for the American market.
You also have the option of purchasing your own 2019 Ranger (starting at $24,300) and adding the Hennessey Velociraptor package for nearly $20,000. The choice is yours.
