If you’re a Ferrari fan and you have the means to pay for one, you’ll be pleased to hear that a LaFerrari Aperta is up for sale at RM Sotheby’s auction. The auction will take place on Jan 17th in Arizona.
This particular LaFerrari Aperta has 1,500 miles on the dash and comes with all factory options including a carbon fiber package, the Nero Daytona color scheme and a clear bra applied to the front end. Regularly maintained and serviced, the vehicle is in excellent condition and eager to get on the road.
The vehicle is expected to sell between $6.5 and $8.5 million.
Literally meaning “The Ferrari”, LaFerrari is the result of 7 decades of engineering and technological advancements at one of the most renown car makers on the planet.
The 6.3 Liter, naturally aspirated, V12 engine is located in the central rear section of the car. It’s the most powerful engine ever used in a Ferrari road car and generates 789 hp.
Not satisfied, Ferrari designers have added a 161 hp electric motor and a KERS module, developed for F1 applications.
Overall, the car produces a total of 963 horsepower and over 663.8 lbs/ft of torque. The power is then transmitted through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and into the powered rear axle.
When it was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, LaFerrari instantly became one of the most wanted cars in the world. Only 500 units were produced between 2013–2016.
Three years later, LaFerrari Aperta – the open-top version of the coupe – launched during the 2016 Paris Auto Show.
With only 210 units ever built, all LaFerrari Aperta units were already sold out before they drove out of the production floor. Ferrari actually chose its buyers and only offered LaFerrari Aperta to a selected list of Ferrari collectors.
