Have you ever dreamed of driving to an empty runway with dozens of the world’s most sought after supercars and ripping it up over and over for the entire weekend? Well, that’s what these folks did at Ambri Airport in Switzerland.
Above is the 2018 video and at the below, you’ll see the 2017 video from the same location.
Organizing these events is the Supercar Owners Circle (SOC), an exclusive club consisting of… well… owners of supercars. The Circle is very exclusive and only admits select vehicles (along with their owners) to the community. An internal commission actually decides if a vehicle is eligible to join the club.
SOC organizes such gatherings on a variety of locations including Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, UAE – and soon there will be events in North America and East Asia, as well.
Car owners meet up to share their passion for supercars and have fun. These are not racing events, but rather a chance to stretch the legs on those ultra high-end vehicles, which usually sit in a garage the whole year.
In the video, you can see a broad variety of supercars. Below is just a small sample of the cars appearing in the two videos.
- Ferrari FXX K Evo
- Lamborghini Aventador
- Maserati Corsa Edition MC12
- Porsche 911 GT1 Straßenversion
- Mercedes CLK GTR
- Pagani Miura
- Koenigsegg CCX
- McLaren P1
- Gumpert Apollo
- Lexus LFA
The Supercar Owners Circle not only organizes these events but helps car owners with a broad range of services. They handle storage and insurance and transportation of the precious vehicles; maintenance, upgrades, and restoration and, last but not least, assist when buying or selling high-end supercars and collector edition models.
