Honda Insight – Style And Affordability

Fuel efficiency and a modest price are strong selling points for the Honda Insight. The MSRP starts at $22,830, and a big plus is that drivers should get 55 miles per gallon on the highway, 49 in the city. Like other Hybrids, it’s also touted as comfortable and quiet, but Honda offers style too – the interior looks like the cockpit of an airplane. Safety features include The Lane Keeping Assist System and Collision Mitigation Braking System.
In testing out a pre-production model of the Insight, Car and Driver notes that while the outside resembles a Civic, the interior is more like an Accord. The driveability is outstanding, with the 151 horsepower engine offering smooth acceleration and braking and a quiet ride, except on inclines.
Limitations? If you’re over 6 feet tall the Insight may feel cramped, especially for headroom. Overall, however, the Insight offers great style and economy.
