Although the Huracan Evo Spyder’s been getting a lot of attention, Lamborghini unveiled another convertible along with the new Spyder at the Geneva Auto Show in Switzerland.
The Aventador SVJ Roadster is the convertible of everyone’s dreams—or, perhaps only the dream of the 800 people who will be able to snag this one, since that’s how many Lamborghini made.

This speed star gets to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and tops out at 217 mph. The naturally-aspired V12 engine is the most powerful of its kind, according to the automaker.
The current Aventador SVJ coupe shares the same engine and gets 770 horsepower with 531 lb.-ft. of torque. Lamborghini offset the drag created by the open-air roof by incorporating a carbon fiber rear wing to divert airflow, a lighter exhaust system, and, of course, its sleek yet aggressive body.
The Aventador SVJ Roadster features a carbon fiber removable top which makes this convertible fly, allowing Lambo to keep the vehicle’s weight low and increase performance. The SVJ Roadster weighs in at 3,472 pounds, which is just 110 pounds more than the coupe version.
The vehicle’s low weight combined with its larger air intakes creates more downforce than the previous model of the Aventador Roadster.
With stiffer roll bars and new stability tuning, the Aventador SVJ Roadster features aluminum wheels, a rear-wheel steering system, and, of course, a touchscreen infotainment system in its Alcantara interior.
Lamborghini fans can expect the Aventador Roadster to have a base price of over $570,000, so be prepared to drop some serious cash on this one by the time you add all the bells and whistles.
Then again, with only 800 models available, good luck getting one.
